Kinlay House Dublin – Trekker’s Hostel Highlights

Greeted by some of the friendliest staff in Dublin, Kinlay House is a great find. For those of you in Dublin for St. Patricks Day be sure to book into Kinlay, the common room looks right over the parade route. One of the first hostels in Dublin, formerly a boys home in the 18th century, it now has 200 beds, rooms are both shared and have en-suite. An interesting feng shui for the rooms, is cubicles of 4 beds in rooms of 20. So it feels like a smaller room even though there are many others in there. Makes a great choice for groups, however, fear not, private rooms are available.

The many perks include FREE internet and Wi-Fi, free games and DVD’s, competitions to win free tickets to events, staff suggestion flyers, free towels and many more. There is a great common room to socialize in and a large TV to watch the games on.

The location is prime, with the local bus transport to the airport just round the corner, very close to Temple Bar night scene and about a 15min walk to the Guinness Factory.

All in all a fantastic thumbs up and for those Aussies craving vegemite, yup you got it, they have tubes for sale behind reception.
