Jacobs Inn – Trekker’s Hostel Highlights

Sister hostel to Isaacs and located just round the corner from the latter, Jacobs was renovated last year. More suited for groups and families than backpackers, the vibe is a little sterile in this Ireland Hostel. However, the entire building is very secure and has a restaurant, Da Vinci’s, located just inside reception.

The 400 odd beds are in rooms that are all en-suite and have TV’s in most, there are also family rooms available. There are extra bathrooms in the hallways just in case. A small common room with a pool table is all that is offered for socializing. There is a self catering kitchen with all the necessities and a laundry located on site. For those who need some extra storage there are lockers located in a secure area. All in all a good, clean hostel, but if you are looking for more of a backpacker vibe I would suggest alternatives.

Its location is literally right by the train station, across the road from the more expensive airport transport and about a 10 min trot to Temple Bar area.
