Dublin City Bunkhouse – Trekker’s Hostel Highlights

Entrance This lovely Ireland hostel is brand spanking new, barely at its sixth month anniversary. Dublin City Bunkhouse or simply just “The Bunkhouse”, is in a great location, on the edge of Chinatown, near buses and transit and a few blocks from the River Liffy. With 100 beds it is big enough to get yourself lost and small enough to be a community, with all but the biggest rooms having en-suite bathrooms. The TV room has the world’s comfiest bean bags and a few couches. There is a laundry, shiny new kitchen and free Wi-Fi. For the smokers amongst there is a small outdoor area for you to puff away in.

The friendly staff is there to help and is in the process of starting new and exciting activities for all you wandering travelers. Presently they are a pick up point for the Backpacker Pub Crawl that is run by an outside company and comes highly recommended. For the hangover the following morning you will be pleased to know your stay comes with a free FULL breakfast.

Very secure with a coded front door, locked day storage and smaller lockers for laptops and bags, you will not have to worry about safety. Because it is so new, however, The Bunkhouse is still trying to find its vibe, but if it continues on its present track of community activities there is sure to be one soon.
