The hotel occupies an 18th-century Georgian townhouse on a tree-lined street full of Georgian townhouses.

Pembroke Townhouse may look relatively ordinary from the outside, but the interior has been lovingly and beautifully restored (not to mention modernized, complete with an elevator to get you to the upper floors) with a nice combination of traditional and modern decor.

Guests can choose from three different room levels (there are 48 rooms altogether, all of which have en-suite bathrooms), with the highest being the “Double Mezzanine” rooms – they are more spacious than the other rooms and boast a split-level design. You may feel less like you are staying in a hotel and more like you have moved into your own apartment in Dublin.

bedAlthough Pembroke Townhouse is not right in the city center, it is a short five-minute ride on the DART from the hotel to downtown Dublin. This four-star property has won several hotel awards and is highly rated by former guests on a popular travel website. It is not cheap, but it is also a bit of affordable luxury that lets you enjoy the peace and quiet of a residential neighborhood and still have Dublin’s sights only a few minutes away.
