The Guardian praises Irelandlogue

By Seán | August 9th, 2007 | 1 Comment »

Benji Lanyado, a writer for the Guardian.co.uk, has dedicated an entire article to a very positive review of Irelandlogue. Read it here.
Whoo-hoo!
Mika of the boots boys suggested I contact Benji a couple of weeks ago about getting on his weekly top 10 list of travel blogs. I was cautioned that Benji

Do you recall back last October when rumours that Michael Jackson was in Ireland to do some recording with Black-Eyed Peas Will. I. Am. were floating about (rumours later confirmed)? Well, now it would seem that R.E.M. are in the neighbourhood, visiting Grouse Lodge, the same studio that Jackson and Mr. Am were in (did [...]

Sesame Street as Gaeilge!

From what I’ve read, [...]

Romans invade Ireland for Chernobyl??!

By Seán | July 23rd, 2007 | Add a Comment »

But I thought they stopped at Hadrian’s Wall?”
Yes, yes they did. What you see depicted there to my left are some of the costumed riders involved in Athlone’s Nuts About Chernobyl Charity ride. Athlone has some strong ties with the Russian community of Chernobyl, raising funds and sending people over at least once a year [...]
