The Shack Session, Athlone

It was a quiet place this last Tuesday in the Shack.

I mean, outside in the car park.

Inside, however, the music was rolling right along from the knot of musicians inside the door. Ze Germanz and I showed up around 9.30pm to find a serious group of folks well into their tuesday sessions. The Sherrif, the bean, pads, hardy, CB and Des were getting the job done.

Somewhere amidst the pints of stout and scattered chord sheets we all found somewhere to escape from the frost and day-to-day monotony outside the door. A regular fixture in sessions, the Sherrif’s version of Cajun Moon is the mp3 this week.
