Extreme Cycling at the Cliffs of Moher

Hans Rey and Steve Peat cycling illegally inches from the death on the Cliffs of Moher - pic by Victor Lucas This definitely belongs on the adventure travel logue.

Illegal though it may have been, extreme cyclists Hans Rey and Steve Peat snuck into the Cliffs of Moher site in the wee hours of the morning, with photographer Victor Lucas tagging along to document their feat, to cycle inches from death thousands of feet above the rocks below along the edge of the Cliffs of Moher.

Now, this blog has recently covered mountain biking in Ireland and has published more than one blog entry on how dangerous the Cliffs are, but I have to say, this really takes the cake.

Apparently, the powers that be are pretty ticked off at the lads, especially as some impressive photos of them doing wheelies and bunny hopping along the edge ended up on the cover of the Irish Examiner last weekend.
