Scary weather

So everyone’s been saying what gorgeous Irish weather we’ve been having.

Today I was sitting at lunch and an elderly lady came past us, “It’s the best April we’ve ever seen, so they’re saying,” she said. By that, she means the recent announcement that this past April was the warmest in Irish history. Furthermore, this May is meant to be 3 degrees celsius hotter than last year.

That’s a lot.

Now I was recently saying that April is the best month to visit Ireland and that the recent spate of warm, sunny days was possible cause for concern, but now I’m pretty much convinced.

For those planning a trip to Ireland - do it quick, before Ireland’s climate resembles that of Spain!
