Light up, Light up

So today at 5pm Athlone town lit up her Christmas lights.

So we mightn’t be a big city and our lights might be a modest display next to some other urban centres, but there’s still something lovely about the lights streaming in gentle parabolas between the lamps of the town bridge.

It’s good to see the displays, some of which have been hanging there since two christmases before, lit up for the season. Through the early fall of evening this time of year, all the flooding and nasty weather, it’s good to see a bit a brightness around.
