A beautiful Irish June

Shoppers with umbrellas on a wet Irish street in JuneSo I was saying just last month that April may be the best month to visit Ireland - the weather is warm, the people are out and most of the other tourists are reciting a rhyme that assures them May would be a better time for a visit.

Alas, the poor folks who planned for a sunny June holiday in Ireland. It has been absolutely miserable here for the past week. Of course wifey, who loves such things, has been constantly remarking on how lovely the weather has been as she throws another turf briquette on the fire.

(missed my Irish Fuel discussion? read all about turf, briquettes and coal - g’wan, ya know ya wanta: clickity clickity!)
